Writing feeds a part of me in ways that nothing else does. My unique voice and perspective are rooted in a childhood where I was encouraged to explore and create — artistically, intellectually, and spiritually. Much of my writing is grounded in issues surrounding family and identity. There is more to this world and to each of us than appears on the surface. My goal is always to write from the heart and to use storytelling as a way to understand one another better and to become our best selves. Decades of work as a clinical psychologist deepen my understanding of who we are and who we can be.
I live in a rural area south of Portland, Oregon with my husband and Australian shepherd. When I'm not writing, I can be found gardening, creating art with watercolors and collage, and spending time with family and friends.
